Blue Vanda is popular among orchid enthusiasts and hybridizers, large numbers of whole plants have been removed from wild for years. The local community collected this orchid from the wild due to the attractive blue flowers, and sold them for around $50 for a big plant with flowers ($1=25 bath). Some plants were reared in their own house
